So, unless you're an RV "drifter" with a super flexible schedule and the ability procure alternative camping accommodations at the last minute, like, maybe parking your RV on the side of the road for the night or a week or whatever, or are a local who can sit on a site early in the week and wait for the weekend (or if you know a local who will do that for you), this campground is a crap shoot! I would call Smith Sport Shop in Crandon for info about Lake Metonga. See a list of campgrounds with ADA accessible features. In addition to its scenic landscape, the campground offers access to educational programs and numerous trails in the area, with some beginning within the campground, including a 6-mile hike to nearby Anvil Lake. The campground also has five tent-only walk-in sites on a wooded peninsula jutting into the lake. Check for ratings on facilities, restrooms, and appeal. From there, you can enjoy your favorite trail activities: ATV/UTV, snowmobiling, walking/running, bicycling, horseback riding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and much more. The Association works with the community and property owners to protect the aesthetic beauty, water quality, wildlife habitats and fisheries for future generations. Both largemouth and smallmouth bass should not be overlooked here, however, as anglers report impressive catches of both species on a consistent basis.
